By the age of 5, Bradley Steven Perry already knew his path in life—he wanted to be an actor. From a young age, he was captivated by the power of comedy, drawn to comedic icons like Adam Sandler and Dane Cook, and fascinated by the ability to make people laugh. Whether on the baseball field, at the dinner table, or even at auditions, Bradley was always cracking jokes, trying to make others laugh and feeling a connection to the comics he admired.
Inspired by his love for comedy, Bradley realized he was destined for the spotlight. By the time he was 9, he was actively auditioning and landing smaller gigs, including commercials and photo shoots. While they may not have brought him widespread fame, Bradley reveled in the experience, knowing that each step brought him closer to his dreams. His passion for acting was unwavering, and he kept pushing forward, determined to make his mark.
At just 10 years old, Bradley Steven Perry scored the breakout role of Gabe Duncan on the hit Disney Channel series Good Luck Charlie, catapulting him into the spotlight and marking the beginning of his successful acting career.
Good Luck Charlie played a defining role in Bradley’s life, with the series running for four years and spanning 100 episodes. The show became a major part of his journey, giving him a platform to showcase his talent to millions of fans.
After the show wrapped, Bradley continued to pursue acting here and there, but found himself at a crossroads. Faced with a pivotal decision, he had to choose: continue full-time acting, with its constant auditions, unpredictability, and relentless grind, or take a step back and pursue a more "traditional" path—going to college and experiencing the "normal" life he had missed out on due to his demanding childhood career.
His childhood was far from ordinary—while he was living the dream on a hit Disney TV show, he didn’t have the chance to experience many of the typical milestones other kids his age did. He never went to a public school, missed out on high school life, and often wished for the chance to embrace more "normal" experiences. That desire led him to a big decision: pursue a college education, something he felt would offer the experiences he had longed for.
Choosing to attend USC, Bradley decided to pursue a degree in Film, and looking back, he calls it "the best decision" he’s ever made. The experiences he missed during his childhood, he found in abundance on the vibrant campus of USC. The first few weeks were tough, with adjustments to a new life, but Bradley embraced the challenges and opportunities. College gave him the chance to shift perspectives and experience life in a way he never had before. He looks back on his college years as some of the most transformative and rewarding of his life, and he graduated with a degree in Film, ready to take on the world from a new vantage point.
These days, Bradley is adding a whole new dimension to his creativity—by showing off his impressive culinary skills on his YouTube channel. Tired of the same old chicken and rice every day, he dove into the kitchen and started experimenting with dishes he never thought he could make. What began as a necessity has evolved into one of his greatest passions, and now he’s sharing his delicious creations with the world.
But that’s not all—Bradley also co-hosts The Sit and Chat podcast with his good friend and fellow actor, Jake Short. The two first met while co-starring on their Disney show Mighty Med, and their on-set bond quickly turned into a lifelong friendship. On their podcast, they casually talk about life, with plenty of laughs and conversations joined by friends they've made throughout their years in the industry. It's a fun and easy listen, full of real stories and great energy!
