When you think about YouTube in the early 2010’s, it’s hard not to think about GloZell Green. 

GloZell Green is a comedian, internet personality, and one of YouTube’s earliest viral sensations

Her videos, including the infamous Cinnamon Challenge, garnered millions of views, helping shape YouTube’s culture of viral trends and influencer-driven content.

Despite achieving incredible milestones—amassing over 700 million YouTube views and even interviewing President Barack Obama—GloZell Green seemed to be at the pinnacle of success. From the outside looking in, she was on top of the world, a trailblazer in digital entertainment. But behind the scenes, her reality was far more challenging.

What many don’t know is that on the very same day GloZell graced the cover of Vanity Fair, she also received an eviction notice. This stark contrast between public triumph and private struggle is a testament to the often unseen hardships that come with internet fame.

At VidCon 2013, GloZell Green gave Andro Mammo an opportunity of a lifetime — an interview he had been chasing for months. Finally, at the event, it all came together. Looking back, Andro credits that moment as a turning point in his career, saying, “I believe that interview really helped open some doors for me, giving me a level of credibility I didn’t have before.”
