Mike Campos, host of The Mac Effect Podcast, comes from humble beginnings. Raised by his parents in the heart of Compton, he grew up with big dreams and an unstoppable drive.

As a kid, he aspired to become a professional basketball player, but as he got older, that dream began to feel more and more out of reach. From an early age, he faced discouragement, with little support to chase his passions. Yet, despite the obstacles, Mike refused to let his circumstances define his future.

Instead of being encouraged to chase his passions, Mike was guided toward the "safe" path—go to school, get a stable job, and support his family. He followed the script without question, burying his aspirations and doing what was expected of him. Any dreams he once had were quickly dismissed by those around him.

But Mike doesn’t harbor resentment. He understands that his family genuinely believed they were steering him toward the best possible future. Still, deep down, the fire never truly went out.

For years, he played it safe, choosing predictability over risk. Fear held him back from taking the first step toward his dreams. But as time passed, something became undeniable—those childhood dreams never left him.

"My dreams had been shattered" , Mike admitted. But deep down, he knew they weren’t gone for good.

Through his powerful healing journey, Mike found the courage to finally pursue his biggest dream and turn it into reality—introducing The Mac Effect!
